"Meet Me On South Street" Returning to PhillyPhiladelphia, PA - On the heels of South Street Fest's record attendance (over 30,000 attendees!), Philadelphia's South Street Headhouse District is excited to introduce "Meet Me On South Street," an ongoing event series highlighting street activations and block parties as well as ongoing events like our midweek Farmers Market or pop-up music performances from The No Name Pops - to name just a few! This series aims to highlight South Street as a unique, off-center experience! This event series intends to showcase all that makes South Street so unique!

Meet Me On South Street event series officially kicks off with South + Passyunk Farmers Market will host their official Launch Party, taking place Thursdays from 3 to 7 pm from June until October at their Farmers Market site at South+ Passyunk and featuring The No Name Pops as part of its kick-off performance! The Launch Party will also include live music by local groups, and their performance will kick off with The No Name Pops!

  • Brauhaus Schmitz hosts its Summer Block Party on June 25, 2023! Come for BBQ and cornhole, face painting for kids, water balloons for fun games, and a Best Dressed Dog Contest!
  • Bastille Day Block Party at The Good King Tavern on July 15, 2023.
  • The No Name Pops offer live pop-up performances monthly from June through September.
  • With many more events coming soon!

The SSHD is delighted to partner with Philadelphia-based pops orchestra The No Name Pops - comprised of former musicians of Philly POPS - to present a four-part summer concert series on South Street. From June through August, they will offer pop-up performances before culminating with a full orchestra performance on September 9 - these will range from quartets, big band swing, funk/soul sing-a-longs, and eventually full orchestra shows in various parts of SSHD (more information soon!). More dates and details are coming soon!

As part of their Meet Me On South Street event series and with support from the South Street Police Mini Station, South Street Headhouse District invites people of all ages to come out and experience pedestrian-only streets on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from June 16, 2023, until Fall 2023 - from 6th Streets down South Street from 6th to 2nd Streets pedestrians can dine on South Street for meals in the street, shop sidewalk sales, bar hop, admire/adorn Jim's Steaks free art wall outside as well as much more!
