PhillyBite10HERSHEY, PA — Just a short drive from the Philadelphia area, Tröegs Independent Brewing is gearing up to kick off the season with a vibrant new event. This Saturday, May 30, the Hershey-based brewery will host its inaugural Tag the Summer Fest, a vibrant, family-friendly celebration dedicated to its wildly popular year-round brew, Graffiti Highway IPA.

Kicking off at 1 PM in the Tröegs brewery parking lot, the five-hour festival promises an immersive blend of live art, hands-on activities, local food, and, of course, plenty of craft beer.

A Canvas of Live Art and Activities

The centerpiece of Tag the Summer Fest is a live art battle that channels the rebellious, creative spirit of the beer's namesake. Three talented graffiti artists from Lancaster's Wall 2 Wall will race against the clock to create large-scale, 5-by-6-foot murals inspired by Graffiti Highway. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to watch the creative process unfold and vote for their favorite piece.

"This festival is all about the colorful, expressive, and adventurous spirit of Graffiti Highway's namesake," said Tröegs co-founding brother Chris Trogner. "We hope to create an artistic day at the brewery that the whole family can enjoy."

Beyond the art battle, attendees can get hands-on at various interactive stations, which include:

  • Tie-dyeing
  • Face and body painting
  • Graffiti stamp making
  • A community graffiti chalk wall (available while supplies last)

Eats and Exclusive Pours

For food lovers making the trip, the culinary lineup brings a taste of home alongside sweet local treats. Uncle B's Philly Cheesesteaks will be on-site, serving up classic steak sandwiches, paired perfectly with dessert from Cubby's Ice Cream Cruiser. Additionally, Tröegs will be serving up a variety of special menu items inside at their renowned Snack Bar.

On the beverage front, fans of the brewery's hop-forward creations are in for a treat. Alongside the flagship Graffiti Highway IPA and its Double IPA counterpart, Tröegs will be pouring two brand-new, limited-edition variations for the event:

  • Graffiti Highway Downshift IPA: A highly crushable, lighter option clocking in at 4.5% ABV.
  • Graffiti Highway Single Hop IPA: A special showcase featuring strictly Mosaic hops.
