PhillyBite10DELAWARE - Newark's Main Street dining scene is getting a major upgrade with the arrival of Rockwell's on Main. Brought to life by the local hospitality veterans at the Martuscelli Restaurant Group, this brand-new American chophouse concept is taking over the prominent real estate formerly occupied by Iron Hill Brewery at 147 N. Main Street. The opening promises to inject a fresh, upscale-yet-relaxed culinary destination into the heart of the bustling college town.

Local chef Brandon Gentry is at the helm of the kitchen, having designed a menu that bridges the gap between a classic steakhouse and approachable comfort food. Diners can expect a heavy emphasis on premium steaks, high-quality chops, and fresh seafood. To complement the hearty mains, Gentry is weaving in Southern-inspired elements, featuring signature sides like braised collard greens that add a distinct, comforting flair to the traditional chophouse experience.

Rather than adopting a stiff, formal atmosphere, Rockwell's on Main is leaning into a relaxed, energetic vibe that suits the local Newark community. The redesigned space features a spacious 22-seat bar as the restaurant's focal point, complete with a lineup of live music performances to keep the venue lively long after dinner service.
