Philadelphia, PA - Aston Diner & Family RestaurantPhiladelphia, PA - Aston Diner & Family Restaurant, in Ashton, PA. I was hungry and in Media, PA, by The Granite Run Mall, so I Googled breakfast sandwiches near me. If I Google 'cheesesteaks' I get all of the Philadelphia big-name cheesesteak places.

The Aston Diner & Family Restaurant

Google didn't turn up a double-secret breakfast cheesesteak place. And, The Aston Diner & Family Restaurant was on my way home, so I went to Aston Diner.

Cheesesteak Guy trivia, my mom taught at Greenridge elementary school for a long time.

I love the Aston Diner, Carole and I went there for the Wednesday night chicken and dumpling special, and It was delicious even on a hot Summer's night.

The Aston Diner has a parking lot and some tables set up for outdoor dining. It was also good to see people taking advantage of the outdoor tables, so I placed my cheesesteak order, which came with french fries and coleslaw.

I loved the soft roll with a little crust on it. In my pictures, you can see there's not much meat, but it had a good meat flavor. Not much cheese melted through the meat. I am happy to say that the cheesesteak is probably the weak link at Aston Diner, and everything else is five stars.
