Choo's BeerPhiladelphia, PA - The last Monday morning of August and the end of a long weekend, I just wanted to go home and start an early nap. But, I ended up in Philadelphia.

Just when I started to convince myself to stay in Philly, I received an UBER request out in Lansdowne. I took this opportunity to jump on Baltimore Pike and head south towards home.

While sitting in a long line of traffic, waiting for a red light. I looked to my left and saw Choo's beer with a banner attached to their awning that read, 'steak - wings - beer.'

I said to myself, 'self those are three of your favorite things.' So I made a u-turn and park in front of Choo's.

I regularly get asked if I am tired of cheesesteaks. My usual response is, 'just the bad ones.' Looking at Choo's Beer, I was not looking forward to this cheesesteak. But then I remembered I am an optimistic person and look for the good in everyone and everything.

Recognizing they have wings, I looked for their wing sauce list. Bangkok Sweet Chili sounded interesting. So I asked the nice man if they would put it on my cheesesteak (there was an ironic twist to our little language barrier).

He said yes., so I ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions and Bangkok sweet chili sauce. It was a pretty typical Papi store cheesesteak, and the Bangkok sweet chili sauce gave it a nice flavor.

What I found most interesting was; I was standing in Baltimore Pike, filming myself eating a Cheesesteak, and a lot of people sitting in traffic at the red light saw me. Yet, no one yelled, 'hey, cheesesteak guy'!

If you are in Clifton Heights, need a beer and might as well get a Cheesesteak since you're there, Choo's maybe the place for you!
