The iconic building where Mad Batter is located was constructed in 1882 as a seaside retreat house. It was only after playing poker at the property that local businessman Harry Kulkowitz recognized its restaurant potential. Then, he started searching for kitchen equipment in junkyards and added skylights, and a yellow-and-white awning over the porch to make the place a more vibrant place to hang out.

The restaurant also features a large outdoor terrace and is open for lunch and dinner on weekends. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable, so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about waiting.

The restaurant first opened in 1976 in the Carroll Villa Hotel, which is now known as the Mad Batter. Its fun atmosphere is sure to make your evenings enjoyable.

The food served here is modern and sophisticated, with an American flair. It serves breakfast and brunch, and the prices are moderate. You can even find live music and art exhibits on site.
