PhillyBite10Philadelphia's wildest summer celebration is officially back, and the editorial team at PhillyBite Magazine and WherePhilly couldn't be more excited. After an initial postponement, the highly anticipated Philadelphia Zoo Summer Ale Festival is officially set for this Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Taking over the zoo's sprawling 42-acre campus, this fan-favorite event is the only beer festival in the region where you can sip a cold craft brew while visiting big cats, great apes, and other incredible wildlife.

Here is everything you need to know before you go.

A Beverage Lineup That Brings the Heat

The festival pours more than 100 different award-winning beverages, offering something for every palate. Guests can sample an impressive lineup of craft beers, hard ciders, seltzers, meads, teas, spirits, and non-alcoholic options.

This year's event introduces 13 new vendors, featuring notable names like Bald Birds Brewing Company, Ship Bottom Brewery, Good Boy Vodka, Ironbound Cider, and NA Beer Club.

Food Trucks & Live Entertainment

No great festival is complete without excellent food and music.

  • Local Fare: Some of the region's hippest local food trucks will be scattered throughout the zoo, serving up crowd-pleasing bites to satisfy every craving.
  • Live Music: The Impala Lawn Stage will host a dynamic lineup of Philly-based acts to keep the energy high. You can catch live performances from Echo Kid, Moonroof, and Nik Greeley and the Operators while you explore the grounds.

Event Details and Tickets

  • When: This Saturday, August 22, 2026. General Admission runs from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, while Early Access ticket holders can enter an hour earlier at 6:00 PM.
  • Taps Off: Pacing is key! Remember that all taps officially close at 9:30 PM, though guests are welcome to stay on-site and enjoy the music until 10:00 PM.
  • Age Restriction: This is a strictly 21-and-older, adults-only event. All guests will receive wristbands upon entry.

Beyond a great night out, this event serves a critical purpose. Every ticket sold supports the Philadelphia Zoo's ongoing mission to inspire action for animals and habitats, directly helping care for the species you will encounter during the festival. Grab your tickets, respect the wildlife, and raise a glass to a great cause this Saturday!
