PHILADELPHIA - You do not need a ticket to Lincoln Financial Field to experience an incredible game day atmosphere in Philadelphia. If you are spending your Sunday in Northern Liberties, the neighborhood is packed with excellent sports bars, massive craft breweries, and lively restaurants that cater heavily to the Kelly Green faithful.

Whether you are looking for a massive projector screen, a dedicated sports bar, or just a great spot to grab a local pint and some barbecue while the game plays in the background, here are the absolute best places to watch the Philadelphia Eagles in Northern Liberties.

1. Tailgate Sports Bar

Address: 1033 N. 2nd Street The name tells you exactly what to expect. If you want a dedicated, no-nonsense game day environment, Tailgate Sports Bar is the neighborhood's premier destination. With televisions lining the walls, a high-energy crowd, and classic pub fare, it is the closest you can get to the stadium parking lot energy without leaving the 2nd Street corridor. Get here early before a 1:00 PM kickoff, as the bar stools fill up incredibly fast.

2. Yards Brewing Company

Address: 500 Spring Garden Street There are few things more quintessentially Philadelphia than drinking a Brawler or a Philly Pale Ale while watching the Birds. Yards Brewing Company’s massive taproom on Spring Garden offers an expansive, open-air environment perfect for large groups. With massive screens behind the main bar and plenty of long, communal tables, it is an ideal spot to rally a big group of friends for a Sunday afternoon game.

3. El Camino Real

Address: 1040 N. 2nd Street If your ideal game day involves smoked meats and pitchers of margaritas, El Camino Real is the spot. This Texas border-style restaurant and bar offers an incredibly lively, rowdy atmosphere on game days. The bar area is heavily focused on the televisions, and their menu of smoked brisket, spare ribs, and loaded nachos is the ultimate football comfort food.

4. Urban Village Brewing Co.

Address: 1001 N. 2nd Street Located right in the Piazza, Urban Village provides a comfortable, spacious environment to catch the game. It is a fantastic option if you want excellent brick-oven pizza and house-brewed craft beer. They feature a large central bar with excellent sightlines to the screens, as well as plenty of indoor and outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the crisp autumn air during the game.

5. North Bowl

Address: 909 N. 2nd Street Bowling alleys and football are a highly underrated combination. North Bowl’s expansive, retro-chic bar area features plenty of large screens playing the game. It is a great alternative to a traditional sports bar, allowing you to split your time between rolling a few frames, eating their famous loaded "tot-chos" (tater tot nachos), and cheering on the Eagles.

6. Jerry’s Bar

Address: 129 W. Laurel Street Tucked slightly off the main 2nd Street drag, Jerry’s Bar is a neighborhood gem. If the Eagles are playing an early 1:00 PM game, this is arguably the best spot in Northern Liberties to combine a high-end Sunday brunch with football. The atmosphere is slightly more refined but still wildly passionate, offering elevated comfort food, excellent Bloody Marys, and a beautiful tavern aesthetic.

7. Standard Tap

Address: 901 N. 2nd Street As a true pioneer of the Philadelphia gastropub scene, Standard Tap offers a rustic, multi-level tavern experience. While it is not a traditional sports bar plastered in neon signs, they always have the local games playing. It is the perfect spot for fans who want a slightly more relaxed viewing experience paired with an exceptional, ever-changing chalkboard menu and an exclusively local draft list.
