In their continuing effort in the fight against childhood cancer, The Lemon Society of Philadelphia will host their 8th Annual Wine Mixer on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 7 to 10 PM at the Independence Seaport Museum, 211 S Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA.
The Lemon Society is a group of young professionals in the Philadelphia region dedicated to supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) and the fight against childhood cancer.
The group was founded to help continue Alexandra “Alex” Scott’s vision of finding a cure for childhood cancer, one cup at a time. The Lemon Society – Philadelphia has been honored as a “Top 100 Fundraiser” for ALSF.
The 8th Annual Wine Mixer will fight childhood cancer “one glass at a time.” Attendees are asked to bring two bottles of the same wine (about $10 retail) to the mixer. One bottle is opened for tasting and the other will go into the prize kiddy. After tasting each wine, participants can vote for several categories including Best Red, Best White, Funniest Name and Favorite Label. Tickets for the event are $10 for Lemon Society – Philadelphia members and $15 for non-LSP members. All attendees must be 21 or older and proper ID is required. An after-party will follow at Cavanaugh’s Headhouse at 10 PM.
