Philadelphia, PAPhillyBite Philadelphia Fire Department - Philadelphia Fire Department (PFD) members and their partners will distribute safety literature and install smoke alarms on the 2200 block of N. Colorado Street, where Capt. Matthew LeTourneau and a resident lost their lives in a house fire on Jan. 6. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Philadelphia Fire Department received a $1 million grant from FEMA last year to install 30,000 smoke alarms in Philly. If you know city residents in need, ask them to contact Philly 311. The PFD also has adaptive alarms for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
