City of Philadelphia Offices Closed on New Years DayPhiladelphia, PA - All City of Philadelphia offices are going to be closed as well as City services restricted on Tuesday, January 1, in honor of New Year’s Day.


 City of Philadelphia Offices Closed on New Years Day

Garbage and recyclables are not going to be picked up on Tuesday, January 1. Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams recommends residents with the regular collection on Tuesday to put out their rubbish and recycling for pick up on Wednesday, January 2. Trash and recycling collections are going to be collected one day behind schedule for the rest of the week.

All City District Health Centers are closed on Tuesday, as are all branch offices of the Department of Licenses and Inspections; the North and Northeast Municipal Service Centers; the Marriage License Bureau; all Philadelphia Parks & Recreation facilities; the Free Library of Philadelphia and all of its branches and the executive offices of the Philadelphia Parking Authority, as well as its Violations branch, at 9th and Filbert streets.

City offices are going to reopen on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
