Philadelphia, PA - By some miracle, the Philadelphia Eagles still sit atop the NFC East at 3-5-1. While they do lead the division, the Eagles have looked awful. Their wins have been ugly and their losses have been even uglier. This was very true against the New York Giants, who did look impressive on both sides of the football and beat the birds handily, 27-17.
Cleveland Browns vs Philadelphia Eagles Prediction
This disappointing performance for the Eagles came after Carson Wentz had the healthiest supporting cast he has had all season long. There’s truly something off about Wentz that needs to get right, and urgently. Believe it or not, there is competition in this division that is going to catch up sooner or later.
This week, the Eagles get the Cleveland Browns, who have managed a 6-3 record and finally some optimism in Cleveland. Their team is led by their running game, which is the best in the league behind Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Philly had a hard time stopping the Giant’s cast of mediocre ball carriers, which does not bode well for when they meet some Pro Bowl-caliber players. Cleveland also has a solid defense which could look to give Wentz and the offense some trouble.
It’s very hard to believe in this team with how things have gone this season, and I don’t expect them to turn it around this week. The Browns are going to smack us around for 60 minutes, dominating with their ground game and their defensive line. I expect a relatively low-scoring but one-sided affair.
Final score: Eagles, 7. Browns, 24.
