Phillies Host Retro Weekend Fan Events, June 8-10

 This year marks the 25th anniversary of the 1993 National League Champion Phillies - and the club is celebrating with several 1990s-themed fan events during Retro Weekend, June 8-10, at Citizens Bank Park. Taking place throughout the Milwaukee series, the three-day celebration includes photo opportunities with iconic 1993 players, alumni ceremonial first pitches and base changes, and a very special on-field 25th anniversary salute to the 1993 NL Champs. Music and PhanaVision features will also be tailored to this era throughout the weekend.

Festivities kick off on Friday, June 8, during 1990s Retro Night at that evening's 7:05 p.m. game. Fans are invited to wear their best '90s attire and take part in a pregame party in Ashburn Alley featuring a live music set by the band SideArm.

The 1990s fun continues on Saturday, June 9, during the 1:05 p.m. game, where fans should be on the lookout for photo opportunities with 1993 players.

Also on June 9, the Phillies will offer a special "The Sandlot 25th Anniversary" theme night ticket deal, held in conjunction with one of America's favorite baseball movies, also celebrating its 25th anniversary. Fans purchasing this special offer will receive a limited-edition Phillies Ham Porter bobblehead, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. In addition, actors from the original movie including Marty York (Alan "Yeah-Yeah" McClennan) and Victor DiMattia (Timmy Timmons) are scheduled to make guest appearances at Citizens Bank Park.

Retro Weekend culminates on Sunday, June 10, with pregame, on-field festivities surrounding the 25th Anniversary Salute to the 1993 National League Champion Phillies. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 1:00 p.m., as players from 1993 take to the field to be recognized before that day's 1:35 p.m. game. This event also takes place on Chevrolet Father's Appreciation Day, with all men 15 and over receiving a John Kruk 1990s BP Pullover.
