Philadelphia, PAPhiladelphia, PA - Philadelphia Boathouse Row - Philadelphia Boathouse Row, home to twelve rowing clubs from which four of the city's universities also compete, "Boathouse Row" is maintained by the individual clubs which together are members of the Schuylkill Navy of Philadelphia.

Founded in 1858 to promote amateurism on the river and secure collective action among and for the clubs, the Schuylkill Navy today partners with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, the Philadelphia Water Department, and the Fairmount Park Conservancy not only to improve the river's infrastructure but also to promote strategic initiatives like stewardship and access and inclusion.
