Philadelphia, PA
– Get ready for the wildest party of the summer! The Philadelphia Zoo has announced the return of its highly popular Summer Ale Festival, taking place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This fan-favorite, 21+ event offers a unique opportunity to wander the Zoo's 42-acre campus after hours, enjoying regional craft beers and ciders while visiting iconic animals like tigers, snow leopards, and Ankole cattle.
This year's festival is set to be bigger than ever, featuring over 100 award-winning craft beers, hard ciders, seltzers, and teas for sampling. To complement the drinks, a fleet of Philadelphia's best food trucks will be on-site serving up delicious eats for purchase, including favorites like Chickie's & Pete's, Mac Mart, and Loaded Tots.
The 2025 festival also boasts a brand-new music lineup on the Impala Stage, featuring local heavy-hitters Ridge Runners, Kind Hearted Strangers, and Nik Greeley and the Operators, along with DJs spinning tunes throughout the Zoo to keep the party atmosphere going.
"Summer Ale Festival has become one of the must-attend events of summer in Philadelphia," said Patrick McMaster, the Zoo's Vice President of Marketing and Communications. "Most important of all, every ticket sale directly supports the care of the Zoo's 1,900 animals."
Tickets are now on sale exclusively through the Zoo's website and will not be available for purchase at the door. Options include General Admission ($65-$84) for entry at 7:00 PM and a limited number of Early Admission VIP tickets ($75-$99) for entry at 6:00 PM. Non-drinker tickets are also available. All tickets include complimentary parking and a souvenir tasting glass.
For a unique night of sips, sounds, and species, the Philadelphia Zoo Summer Ale Festival is the can't-miss event of the season.
