- Goomba's Pizzaria, Colmar, PA. - It's a hot July afternoon and a long day driving, But, I took that one extra ride that ended me up in Telford, PA. and realized I was near Goombas Pizzaria, I got mildly happy. The sign says, 'Goomba's Pizzaria, bringing South Philly to Da' Burbs.

I'm pretty sure I passed Da' Burbs a half hour before I got to Colmar. When you can buy ammo across the street and mulch behind the pizza shop, Dorothy, you're not in Da' Burbs anymore. God's country outside and Oregon Avenue inside, and judging by the Google reviews I read, I'm not the only one that feels that way.
Except for the young woman that waited on me was as nice as could be, and everyone was wearing masks.
I have seen Goomba's pizzeria's posts on Instagram and was looking for trying their cheesesteak. The most memorable post I saw was hand sanitizer for sale, and they still have some.
I had confidence that the food was going to be good from the look and smell of the place, so I got two Goomba's made chocolate covered Biscotti. Buying the Biscotti was a good call.
They share a building with a beer distributor. Plenty of parking but Park away from the beer distributor because the cars coming and going to the Beer Distributor kick up a lot of dust.
It's a Fairly typical Pizza Shoppe menu with several extra meat options. Which did not matter when I saw the Cheesesteak Italiano.
I ordered the Cheesesteak Italiano, and the menu said it comes with broccoli rabe & sharp provolone. It comes with broccoli rabe, sharp provolone, and a lot of Garlic. I repeat (and I did) a lot of Garlic. But, how much, Garlic? 2 tums worth.
It starts off with a very nice, very edible seeded roll. It has a good amount of good meat, but I think it was a touch dry.
The broccoli rabe was amazing. I would like the broccoli rabe mixed with the meat. It would have blended their flavors and helped with my dry meat concern.
Good cheese. What's better than good cheese? More good cheese. Very good cheesesteak.
