Philadelphia, PA - As Veterans Day Philadelphia, PA - As Veterans Day appraches a few local restaurants and companies our honoring local veterans by providing discounts or a free meal. Listed below are a few Local Philadelphia establishments offering various discounts or free meals to our nations Vets.


Devils Den FireplaceCraft Brews at South Philly's Devil's Den, South Philadelphia’s craft beer mecca, in collaboration with Weyerbacher Brewing Company, are joining forces to host a Veteran’s Day fundraiser benefitting The National Military Family Association on Friday, November 10th at Devil’s Den starting at 5pm until close.

Veteran and General Manager of Devil’s Den, Kris Hagan, and owner Erin Wallace, teamed up with Weyerbacher to brew an exclusive collaborative beer for the event – Integri-tea (6.5% ABV) a dark amber saison, brewed with candi syrup and oolong tea.

“Last year we raised $2,500 for veterans. This year with the valued help of our beer community we hope to more than double it,” said Hagan. “We support veterans all year long, but this is an opportunity for guests to come out and enjoy an outstanding selection of local and national brews, bid on numerous raffle items, and partake in a 50/50, all for a good cause.”

100% of the proceeds from the collaboration beer and raffle ticket purchases will be donated to The National Military Family Association, a nonprofit benefitting the families of the currently serving, veteran, retired, wounded or fallen members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Commissioned Corps of the USPHS and NOAA. The keg will officially be tapped at 5pm and select proceeds will also be donated from the brew at the following locations: Cinder, Brü, Old Eagle Tavern, Varga Bar, Weyerbacher’s taproom, Freewill Brewing Company’s tasting room, and Butcher Bar.



But it’s not just local bars coming together for a good cause this Veteran’s Day, additional kegs have been donated from 2SP Brewing Company, Coppertail Brewing Co., Evil Genius Beer Company, Austin East Ciders, Evolution Brewing Company, Weyerbacher Brewery, and Barren Hill Brewery – 100% of the proceeds from each of these kegs will also be donated to the National Military Family Association.


Red Lobster Offers A Free Appetizer Or Dessert For Veterans Day - In honor of Veterans Day, and to thank veterans, active duty military and reservists for their service, Red Lobster is offering a free appetizer or dessert on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Guests only need to show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem this offer.



Applebee's Free Meal - For the tenth consecutive year, Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar® will honor veterans and active members of the United States military by offering each a free meal at any of the nearly 1,800 Applebee's restaurants in the United States on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11, 2017. Applebee's is one of the first casual dining brands to honor America's heroes with a free meal on Veterans Day and has donated more than 8.3 million free meals to veterans and active-duty military since beginning the program in 2008. Applebee's restaurants nationwide expect to serve nearly one million more free meals this Veterans Day.

Denny's - On Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day, participating Denny's locations nationwide will offer a complimentary Build Your Own Grand Slam® to service members. This diner classic includes a choice of delicious breakfast items such as two fluffy buttermilk or hearty wheat pancakes, two eggs cooked to order, two sizzling bacon strips or hash browns. The offer is valid from 5 a.m. to noon with a valid military ID.

McCormick & Schmick’s  – free lunch or dinner, Sunday Nov 5, 2017: Veterans will be able to choose a complimentary lunch or dinner entrée from a special menu. Veterans must provide proof of military service. No ID needed for Gold Star Family members (parents or spouse). Be sure to contact your local McCormick & Schmick’s as this is valid at participating restaurants only. Space is limited and reservations are highly recommended.

Chipotle - Nov. 7, 2017 (5pm to close). Buy-one/get-one free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos. Offer valid for all U.S. military (active-duty, Guard/Reserve, and retired military), military spouses with ID, and veterans. For in-restaurant orders only; offer not valid for online, mobile, fax, or catering orders. 

Dunkin' Donuts - This Veterans Day, Dunkin' Donuts will say thank you to those who serve by serving a free donut to Veterans and active duty military. On Saturday, November 11, anyone who shows a military ID at participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants nationwide will be offered a free donut of their choice with no purchase necessary, while supplies last. Limit one per customer.

Red Robin - "Is proud to continue our tradition of serving a free Red's Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries to our military guests on Veterans Day," said Jonathan Muhtar, Red Robin's executive vice president and chief concept officer. "Unbridled hospitality is at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to our restaurants bringing smiles to the faces of the men and women of our military not only on Nov. 11, but throughout the year."

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - After four years and more than 80,000 military members served, On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina® announced it will be continuing its Veterans Day tradition of offering a free Choose 2 or Choose 3 Combo Meal to all active and retired military members on Saturday, November 11th. More than 150 different combination choices are available all day long on Veterans Day to say "thank you" to those serving in the nation's armed forces.
