 Ohio Flags Lowered to Half-Staff OHIO – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Ohio be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state. This directive, issued on April 21, 2025, is in honor of the life and service of His Holiness Pope Francis, following his passing.

Ohio Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Memory of Pope Francis

The order follows a proclamation issued by the President of the United States. Flags across Ohio will remain lowered until sunset on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, the day of Pope Francis's interment.
