PHILADELPHIA - The 7th Annual Bite for the Fight Food Festival is bringing dozens of regional restaurants, top-tier chefs, and craft distillers to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Running from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the dine-around tasting event aims to draw over 400 guests and raise $200,000 for quality-of-life programs supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
Coinciding with National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, the afternoon will feature a DJ, a silent auction stacked with Philadelphia-centric experiences, and interactive craft cocktail sessions. The culinary lineup is anchored by live cooking demonstrations and meet-and-greets with three nationally recognized culinary figures:
- Chef Brian Duffy: The Philadelphia native, Bar Rescue expert, and BBQ Brawl competitor returns as the event's headlining chef and emcee.
- Chef Ariane Duarte: The New Jersey native and Top Chef and Beat Bobby Flay alumna will bring her bold, unpretentious cooking style to the demo stage.
- Chef Kenneth J. McDuffie: Known from FOX's Hell’s Kitchen and Food Network's Chopped, McDuffie will showcase the signature soulful flavors he learned from his great-grandmother.
On the tasting floor, attendees can sample bites and beverages from a robust lineup of local purveyors, including The Blue Elephant, Harvest Seasonal Grill, Bald Birds Brewing Company, Brick & Blaze Pizza Company, and Dad's Hat, among many others.
Every dollar raised goes directly to the Fight On Makenna Foundation, founded in 2018 by Pottstown residents Rich and Michelle Massi in honor of their daughter, Makenna. The foundation fills a critical gap in care, funding the essential support services the Massi family found missing during their own hospital stays, ensuring that families navigating pediatric cancer care do not have to do it alone.
