Philadelphia, PATwisted Tail Kentucky Derby Party - The Twisted Tail, a Southern-inspired bar, restaurant, and live Blues venue, is excited to announce its upcoming Kentucky Derby Party, which will take place on Saturday, May 5, from 11 am to 7 pm at the Headhouse Square Plaza.


Levante Brewing Company and Beam Suntory, will sponsor the all-day festival, which features a live music lineup, a Maker's Mark mint julep tent, lawn games, and best-dressed contests. There will also be a jumbotron, raffles, and giveaways.

The Twisted Tail will take over Headhouse Square all day, with Derby-inspired food, drinks, and a large outdoor stage to host live music. The Twisted Tail is encouraging attendees to dress in their best Derby outfits.

Men will have a Most Dapper Lady and Most Dapper Gent competition. Live music will start at 12 pm, followed by race coverage at 6 pm and the coronation. Participants can enter a raffle to determine the winning horse and win prizes.

Attendees will be treated to a full day of live blues music by local legends like Shakey Lee and Brad & Margie. They'll also hear Tom Craig Band, Collin Bunch Band, and Gypsy Joe Alves & The Groove Prophets. Live music starts outside at 12 pm and ends at 6 pm, just before the race.



The Twisted Tail is bringing back a special "What's the Catch?", initially created by Reilly as a tribute to his British heritage during the pandemic. The Twisted Tail can be easily accessed from I-95 and I-76. There are no reservations, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
