NEW JERSEY - Bojangles is on a serious expansion spree in the Northeast. They opened their fourth New Jersey location (the much-anticipated one) yesterday (Nov 5, 2026) on the Jersey Shore. It's another Bojangles bringing its famous Cajun-seasoned fried chicken and scratch-made biscuits to the area.
Bojangles Continues Its Rapid New Jersey Expansion With a New Neptune Location
Located at 276 Route 35 in Neptune, the new restaurant had its grand opening on Thursday at 6.00 AM with a biscuit-cutting ceremony attended by local officials. To mark the occasion, the first 50 people through the door received a gift and a chance to win a year of free breakfast.
A Growing Garden State Footprint
The Neptune is the big step in the NC chain's continued expansion into New Jersey. They made their NJ debut in Piscataway in April 2025, then opened in Vineland in March 2026 and Marlboro in June 2026.
The Neptune is a fresh, fast-casual option for locals along the Route 35 commercial corridor (a very busy corridor). It offers the same menu as the others, including the bone-in chicken, the Bo-Berry biscuits, and, of course, the legendary sweet tea.
Mount Holly is Up Next (and Arriving Sooner Than Expected)
While some rumors have circulated that the upcoming Mount Holly location wouldn't open until 2028, South Jersey fans will actually get their chicken fix much sooner.
The chain is taking over the former Colbie's Southern Kissed Chicken property at 1643 Route 38. According to the property's leasing directors, the Mount Holly Bojangles is currently scheduled to open its doors in the first quarter of 2027. With four locations now open and dozens more reportedly planned, the Southern staple is quickly becoming a permanent fixture in New Jersey's fast-food landscape.
