PhillyBite10 NEW JERSEY - The Flying Pig Tavern & Tap is making an important impact on South Jersey's hospitality scene, bringing a fresh dining and entertainment experience to Gloucester Township. Located at 1300 Blackwood-Clementon Road, the establishment recently celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor David R. Mayer, Councilman Ciri Castro Jr., and the tavern's ownership team, commending the business's contribution to the region.

More Than a Traditional Restaurant

Taking over a massive property that was formerly home to Favorites Off-Track Betting and the Diamond Diner, The Flying Pig is a highly ambitious addition to the company's growing hospitality brand, which already boasts locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Built as a true destination, it blends casual dining, games, live music, and social entertainment to give locals an elevated place to gather.

The menu focuses on bold tavern classics and American fare, featuring everything from loaded cheesesteak eggrolls and smash burgers to towering wood-fired pizzas and cedar plank salmon.

A Devotion to the Community

Since opening its doors in Blackwood, The Flying Pig has already shown a strong devotion to investing in the surrounding community.

Management has actively extended its involvement beyond the dining room, participating in several major Gloucester Township local projects. The team recently contributed to the township's three-day Pride Celebration, the Veterans BBQ, and the inaugural concert of the Harmony Hall Concert Series, cementing its role in local civic life.

An Expanding Vision for Entertainment

The new Blackwood location is not done growing. Plans are already underway to transform the establishment's massive basement into a sprawling, multi-faceted entertainment area.

Once completed, the lower level will feature additional seating, bowling lanes, golf simulators, and other recreational attractions. This proposed expansion will significantly broaden the venue's offerings, solidifying The Flying Pig as a premier South Jersey destination for food, recreation, and nightlife.
