Asbury Park Distilling Co. in Asbury Park

Located in the heart of Asbury Park's burgeoning downtown, Asbury Park Distilling Co. makes handcrafted spirits and specialty artisanal cocktails with locally sourced ingredients. Founded by Zack Ohebshalom in 2017, the distillery is the state's first distillery to open downtown in over three decades. The distillery is the first to operate since Prohibition, making only the highest quality handcrafted spirits. The flagship product is Asbury Park Double Barrel Bourbon, aged in oak barrels. Bellemara Distillery in Hillsborough Township

The Bellemara Distillery in Hillsborough is set to open this fall. The distillery is a joint venture between former Naval Officer Camden Winkelstein and his wife, Christina Lee. The distillery's name means "beauty of the seas." It will be located at 2 Clerico Lane in Hillsborough. The distillery's founders are whisky lovers, and Camden Bailey studied the art of whisky production in Scotland. He saw an opportunity to incorporate traditional Scottish and modern distilling techniques in the United States. His wife, Christina, is the co-founder and head of marketing at Bellemara. She has traveled to Scotland and other parts of the world to study different methods of producing whisky.

Cape May Distillery in Cape May

The Cape May Distillery is located in the historic Cape May Courthouse. It is known for producing handcrafted spirits such as rum, bourbon, whiskey, gin, honey spirits, vodka, and much more. Visitors can enjoy signature cocktails and beer to go at the distillery or purchase a tour and tasting glass. The distillery is part of the Cape May Booze Trail, which also includes wineries. The Cape May Distillery makes handcrafted spirits from locally grown and New Jersey-sourced ingredients. Tours that explain the distilling process and offer tastings of the resulting spirits are available. Visitors can even meet the mixologist, Colin O'Brien, for a chance to learn about the various flavors of Cape May-made spirits.

Corgi Spirits in Jersey City

The Craft distillery uses potato-based vodkas and gins in their cocktails. The resulting blends are delicious and unique and make for excellent drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful. And they're happy to answer questions about their products. This Jersey City distillery is also open for public tours. The atmosphere at Corgi Spirits is casual and quaint. A tour of the distillery provides an up-close look at the process. Afterward, you can sit in the spacious tasting room and sample some of their signature drinks. A Study in Pink, for example, is a delicious gin cocktail made with pink grapefruit, pink-peppercorn syrup, and Peychaud's bitters.



Colts Neck Stillhouse in Colts Neck

For a unique experience, you can visit the Colts Neck Stillhouse in Coltings Neck, New Jersey. This distillery uses authentic recipes with local influences to create its own spirits. It also offers tours, tastings, and a cocktail parlor. The Colts Neck Stillhouse offers craft spirits based on locally sourced grains. Their products include American Gin, Rye Whiskey, American Rum, and Vodka.  The Stillhouse offers tours, tastings, and cocktails using old recipes and regional influences. The venue also has indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.
