Philadelphia, PA - On July 14, The 2021 Mummers Day Parade was canceled due to coronavirus concerns. In an announcement from Philadelphia's Mayor Kenny, the parade was essentially canceled after a moratorium prohibiting all large public events in the city until February 28, 2021.

But on New Year's Day, a march is being planed around the Pennsport clubhouses along Two Street in South Philly and dubbed as a protest against the Mayor to address taxes and restrictions on freedoms and liberties.
Being announced on social media as The Mummers/New Year's Day Peaceful Protest against the Mayor and his policies have been gaining steam for a few months on Facebook.
It's unclear if the protest will stick to the neighborhood where members' clubhouses are based or strut down Broad Street like every year before.
