Philadelphia, PAPhilly Zoo - Philadelphia Zoo lights up the Zoo's Main Plaza with blue lights to thank Philadelphia's frontline workers. The new light display is located at the front entrance buildings at 34th and Girard.

Philly Zoo Lights Up Blue

By lighting up the front plaza in blue, the Zoo extends its wishes and appreciation for the thousands of our area's first-responders kindness, dedication, and courage during an exceptionally challenging year.

The Philadelphia Zoo would typically host LumiNature, a fantastic holiday light show unveiled last winter for the first time last year. Still, with Covid 19, the Zoo decided to hold off the LumiNature experience until November 2021.

The blue light display consists of 50,000 LED lights wrapped around three 80-foot-tall London Plane trees.

The Zoo invites guests to visit www.PhiladelphiaZoo.org/lights to see a live camera feed from now through early January --picture quality will be best during dawn, dusk, and darkness.
