Philadelphia, PA - Celebrating in the individuality of being who you are and rejoicing in being out is what the month of June is all about. PRIDE is being celebrated in Philadelphia all month long, whether it is having some fun with friends while sipping on drink specials, exercising your way to being fit and fabulous, or dancing in the streets at one of the parades, Philadelphia certainly knows how to rejoice in Philly PRIDE.
PRIDE PARADE—On June 10th starting at 11:30AM at 13th & Locust, the largest celebration of LGBT pride in the region is celebrating their 30th year, attracting over 25,000 people each year and reveling in being out and proud! And the celebrations don’t end there, the PRIDE Parade ends at Penn’s Landing where you can keep the fun going!
GREAT PLAZA AT PENN’S LANDING—On June 10th, the gates at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing open wide to celebrate PRIDE in a big way. For $15 you can relish even more fun while enjoying live entertainment at Penn’s Landing PRIDE festival. For more information, you can go to www.phillygaypride.org.
WILLIAM WAY LGBT COMMUNITY CENTER—On June 8th at 5:30PM at the William Way LGBT Community Center, the center will hold it’s annual Homecoming Benefit to raise funds for our programs and services during LGBT Pride weekend. Come home to YOUR Center. Food, live entertainment, a fabulous silent auction and more! And look forward to a variety of other events and activities that the center has planned. JET WINE BAR—You can “Toast to Love” at Philadelphia’s “global vineyard” which will feature a flight of six different wines all month long, creating a rainbow of sophisticated sips all month long in June.
