Philadelphia, PA - Originally opened in September 2019, City Winery was eager to bring its distinct concept to Philadelphia. Located in eight different cities across the country, its vision for the City of Brotherly Love was put on hold due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Urban Winery Brings Wine Back to Philadelphia's Fashion District
Fast forward a year and a half, City Winery Philadelphia is open and ready to deliver its unique culinary and cultural experiences to the public. This urban winery recreates the warm, rustic feel of wine country right in Philly's Fashion District.
But, City Winery Philadelphia doesn't just sell wine; they make it too!
City Winery Philadelphia takes the old saying "wine is made in the vineyard" quite seriously. In the Fall of 2021, this winery brought its vineyard to Philadelphia. It began the process of making its very own wine.
Using old country winemaking methodology combined with 21st-century technology to deliver fantastic wine and a great value into your glass. With hand-selected grapes, its signature wines will be fermenting right in the heart of Philly's Fashion District.
Guests can expect to sample City Winery Philadelphia's perfectly aged wine in the early months of 2022.
City Winery Philadelphia's Winemaker Isaac said, "It's been a long time coming, and we're finally making wine here in Philly! While being involved in the winemaking process at the City Winery in Hudson Valley, New York, has been incredible, I am thrilled to be home in Philly for our first true harvest. We're kicking things off with a gorgeous crop from California in the form of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. We may have some more tricks up our sleeve with future pick-dates for other fruit, but fermentation is underway, and it's looking like a great vintage."
Guests of the City Winery Philadelphia are invited to experience a wide range of offerings such as a fully functioning winery, food and wine seminars, an upscale bar and dining hall, and venues for private events.
