El Punto Sandwiches | Hunting ParkPhiladelphia, PA - I am often amazed at just how quickly my Uber clients can take me from being close to home to winding up in North Philly's Hunting Park.

With that said, I end up here regularly. Whitaker Street is bustling all the time, and you can buy just about anything and everything you could possibly need.

Hay, you can get your car detailed while you eat your Cheesesteak. El Punto Sandwiches is located about a half-block off Whittaker, and they have their own parking.

It was sweltering hot outside, and most customers were just sitting around in cars waiting for their order. While I waited in my own car, I took the time to read up on a few Google Reviews for EL Punto.

I was relieved to see that other non-Spanish speaking customers, like myself, had some difficulties ordering. One particular review mentioned a menu next to the takeout window that you could just point to and order. Unfortunately, no such thing existed when I arrived at the window.

I decided on the steak sandwich with cheese. I'm not exactly sure what else was on my Cheesesteak. Between masks, plexiglass, and accents, I had no idea what the young woman was asking me, so I just nodded my head saying 'Yes' to everything.

When my Cheesesteak arrived, I found myself in love with the roll. I don't know if you can call it a Cuban roll, but it was a fat version of a hoagie roll.

The meat was just okay, I would have loved to have just a little more meat, though. However, what I liked the most was the sauce it was delicious without being overly hot, and it really made the sandwich.

So, if you find yourself on Whittaker Street in North Philly, pop on into El Punto Sandwiches on 4460 Whitaker Ave, Philadelphia, PA
