Philadelphia, PA - Dietz & Watson is opening an exciting new store in Philadelphia. However, this one will not focus on deli meats. Instead, it is a clothing store. The pop-up Delishop, situated at fifth and South streets, will host a grand opening is this Friday to celebrate the shops opening.
Dietz & Watson has designed a lineup of deli-inspired apparel, establishing the brand's very first venture into the fashion world. This will be the company’s initial steps in an attempt to expand into a lifestyle brand. For anyone wanting to pick up some eats, there will be several food items available to purchase alongside the companies apparel.
Dietz & Watson is a Philadelphia based company, which has been creating premium meats together with artisan cheeses for more than 80 years. Company founder Gottlieb Dietz, a German sausage maker, evolved his skills while on the job at a meatpacking plant for nearly two decades, before establishing the company we see today in 1939 when Dietz bought the Watson Meat Company and connected his name with Walter Watson, the previous owner, who stayed on as the companies sales manager.
