- So far, it was a long day but a good day, and it's dinner time. I live 12 miles down, Route 202 from West Chester PA, and COVID-19 quarantine means no traffic, crowds, or WCU students.
Square Bar West Chester University
I figured hay I can get a cheesesteak from West Chester and be home quickly and painlessly. After some research, I decided on Square Bar, and judging from Facebook; this looks like a place you should plan to have a few drinks with your Cheesesteak and enjoy a band.
However, because of quarantine, they suggest calling or ordering online. A wonderful young woman answered during the dinnertime rush. Still, she took her time and answered my questions about the Cheesesteak as well as upselling me on everything.
I ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions, mushrooms, sweet peppers, lettuce, and tomato along with a 32-ounce orange slushy with the extra shot to make it a Creamsicle. When I arrived, I parked in their small lot across the street doing my blogging thing, and an amiable young man came up to my car window with my food.
I got out of my car to take my sign selfie, and the two people standing by the sign were chatting who was as nice as can be, and the three young men were getting take out. Therefore, if you want to drink and eat cheesesteaks with friendly people in West Chester, go to Square Bar.
The Cheesesteak was delicious, and to my surprise, came with French Fries and a sweet big bready roll. It had an outstanding amount of meat, with fried onions, mushrooms, and sweet pepper, which was so well chopped it that they could have spent time together in a food processor.
The cheese was melted through the whole Cheesesteak, and even though I did not get an itemized bill, the Cheesesteak was still under ten dollars. I am a big Square Bar fan.
