Philadelphia, PAThe Cheesesteak Universe - Havertown could very well be the nexus of the cheesesteak universe.  I went out to run some errands and ended up in Havertown, and I am glad I did.

The Nexus of The Cheesesteak Universe

I have had some great cheesesteaks in Havertown in the past. The beautiful part is that each place brings something different to the cheesesteak table.

Today's was from a pizza shop, Mark Anthony's Paisano's.  They do have parking, inside seating, and I'm assuming a bathroom.

There was a nice steady flow of take-out customers while I was there. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was what I assume to be little Paisano's sitting at a table doing their homework.

It was nice to see the family commitment and had a straightforward menu and a small crew.  After looking at their video, they may have a ghost living upstairs, but they have a Cheesesteak Italiano.

Being at Paisano's, I was going to get that. Still, it looked like long hots were the only thing that made it an Italiano, so I ordered the cheesesteak supreme.

I love this Cheesesteak.  It comes with fried onions, mushrooms, green peppers, pepperoni, and sauce. The 1st thing that jumped out at me was the sauce was mixed in with the other ingredients.

They also do not wrap their Cheesesteak up so tight that it disfigures the roll. I almost asked to leave the mushrooms off, but I'm glad I did not.

Green peppers are my new indicator of how long the ingredients spend on the grill. This Cheesesteak had a fair amount of everything.

The traditional role also spent some time on top of everything on the grill absorbing everyone's scent.  Go Havertown!  The Nexus of The Cheesesteak Universe.
