Philadelphia, PAStu & SAMMY'S Delicatessen at DE.CO in Wilmington, DE - I drive around most days cursing Wilmington, Delaware, and today The Hotel DuPont was getting a facelift. Part of the facelift is DE.CO. An urban upscale food court. The developer that made the one in Baltimore built this one.

If I hadn't started a diet and the bar had been open, I would have visited at DE.CO a long time ago. DE.CO is a very cool open space at the Hotel DuPont on the corner of 10th & Orange. I liked it. I liked it a lot. The outside walls are glass, and the wall in the back has a bar. The other glass wall is in the seating area.

They have approximately 9 different food vendors—everything from danish, pizza, burgers to sushi and It feels very bright and open.

I was there for the cheesesteak, so I went to Stu & SAMMY's delicatessen. It took me at least 5 times looking at Stu & SAMMY'S to get 'stew and sandwiches.' How clever.

This is going to be a very obnoxious statement, but it fits. My incredible knowledge of cheesesteaks saved this from being a disastrous lunch. So I really like deco.

I'm looking forward to my cheesesteak from Stu & Sammy's. I'm standing at the counter watching the young man wrap up two cheesesteaks, and they looked pencil Thin. So, I saw they have grilled cheese with the sliced ribeye. I asked the young man if it's the same way ribeye they use for the cheesesteaks. He says yes. Bam, I ordered a grilled cheese with the sliced ribeye.

It comes with homemade potato chips. It sat on the grill a little long, so the bread was a little overdone, but it was one guy working by himself, so I overlooked it. It had a fair amount of cheese. I would have liked more cheese, but it was a good enough amount.

I guess I should have asked, but they added a tangy sauce or saute their onions with a tangy sauce. Either way, there was a nice Tangy sauce on this grilled cheese. After 4 pm and the bar was open, I could have taken my grilled cheese to the bar area where I could have got a drink or gotten a drink and taken it to the sitting area.
