HERSHEY, PA – Tröegs Independent Brewing will celebrate the traditional German holiday of Oktoberfest from Thursday, September 14 to Sunday, September 24. The brewery will transform its Tasting Room, patio, and Beer Garden into a festive German beer hall for the occasion.
Throughout the celebration, customers can enjoy a fill of Tröegs’ toasty, crisp seasonal Oktoberfest Lager in a festive 1-liter stein they can take home while supplies last. The brewery will also be offering several brewery-exclusive beers during the celebration, including Hop Knife Harvest IPA and three limited small-batch Scratch beers: a dark, roasty Schwarzbier; a refreshing Lemon Radler; and a traditional Rauchbier brewed with applewood smoked malt.
The Snack Bar will feature several traditional German-inspired dishes such as Pork Schnitzel, Gingerbread Cookies, and Obatzda beer cheese dip. Commemorative merchandise, including T-shirts, socks, flags, pennants, and beer steins, will also be available in the General Store.
The event will peak on Saturday, September 23, with a live outdoor performance from Polkadelphia and a visit from the Palmyra Greenhouse Flower Truck between 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Other activities throughout the day include a stein-holding contest with prizes to the top male and female contenders and cornhole, face-painting, photo backdrops and more. Customers can also register for one of six exclusive Oktoberfest Guided Tastings in the brewery’s intimate Barrel Room, which will include four different lagers alongside German-inspired small bites from the Snack Bar.
