Established by local entrepreneur Brendan Sciarra (Kona Surf Company, Dogtooth Bar & Grill, and Poppi's Brick Oven Pizza), Wildwood Brewery opened in 2018 as its only brewery. Dubbed after the inaugural passenger train to roll into town in 1883 - known as "The Mudhen" by those who rode it - who came over Five Mile Island on an uncertain rail track, Wildwood Brewery took its name from that memorable experience.
The 10,000-square-foot brewery/pub offers four full bars spread among repurposed Harley Davidson dealership, garage, upstairs lounge, and biergarten space. This airy destination provides plenty of indoor seating perfect for ball games and bad weather; outside, a covered patio offers covered seating, fire pits, outdoor games, and live entertainment on stage.
