wayne CheesesteakPhiladelphia, PA - Yes, The Cheesesteak guy was on the mainline, and my guest eater has a blue checkmark on Instagram. If I drove a Silverado, it would have been a country song. I may have to use my powers vested to me by an article in the Inquirer dated Jan 15, 2020, suggesting I am Philadelphia's Cheesesteak Authority and name the Greco's as Delaware County's first family cheesesteaks.

I have always heard great things about their family. I have always experienced great things from their family. When I started the Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure, I would get lettuce and tomato on my cheesesteaks to see how fresh they were. I got a lot of grief for that. I think freshness is essential.

Luckily, New Wayne Pizza thinks freshness is essential. New Wayne's pizza customers appreciate freshness and order approximately 100 salads daily. Their pizza is old school for this area. They call it 'greek' style. I remember as a kid calling it New England style. Either way, it has a thicker crust.

There were two of us the cheesesteaks, so we got a mushroom cheesesteak and a Garlic Bread cheesesteak. We got the Garlic bread cheesesteak because in the menu it was written in a different color. It was delicious garlic bread and added a lot of flavor to the cheesesteak.

The mushroom cheesesteak had an excellent mushroom flavor. The mushrooms spent enough time on the grill that they were not soggy/wet/from a can tasting. I would have liked them to spend a little more time on the grill. My only genuine concern was the cheese. I would like at least one more slice of cheese and for it to be chopped in with the meat.

This was an excellent day to be the cheesesteak guy. Evan was a great guest eater. He got a compliment on Facebook. I met Anthony, the next generation of Greco. Dad is still in charge, but Wayne's citizens will be in good cheesesteak hands for many years to come.
