- Romona Susan’s Bake Shop is a small family/people oriented bakeshop serving home-style desserts and placing customers first as they offer up a number of home made goodies. Step into the 500-square-foot bakery space and you'll get sense that these goodies have been oven-baked just for you with loads of love and care.
Established in 2013 by Betty Halpenny and also Elly Monroe, the bakery is named for Betty’s mom who would stock the house with tasty home-made goodies and its that feeling the owner want each visitor to leave feeling. This spot is Philadelphia’s go-to for desserts, Betty and Elly deliver mouth-watering treats served along with a little bit of retro flair, dedication to straight forward comfort foods and love.
In addition to the retro classics, the duo are well known for their "unicorn cake", a pastel-rainbow-decorated, yellow layer cake along with pink strawberry buttercream which has come to influence their branding.
